Investing in our future means investing in our children — which is why the United Nations has designated every November 20 as Universal Children’s Day. It’s a time to promote togetherness around the world, awareness of the problems children face in every corner of the globe, and improve the welfare for all children. On this day the School Council suggested that the students come to school wearing jeans and shirt against a donation of 1 Euro. Money was collected in a container at the school entrance before students did the hand sanitizer. This was a fundraising activity and the amount collected of €256 will be used for school improvements. The short video was done in occasion of International Children’s Day. The video was recorded by Ms M. Vella Montebello. The students of class P2.5 whose teacher is Ms A Sapiano read the poem written by Ms A Vella.
Ninvestu fil-futur ifisser ninvestu f’uliedna- din hi r-raġuni għala n-Nazzjonijiet Uniti għażlu l-20 ta’ Novembru bħala l-Jum Universali tat-Tfal. F’din il-ġurnata nippromwovu l-għaqda fid-dinja, fejn niġu konxji mill-problemi li t-tfal madwar id-dinja jħabbtu wiċċhom magħhom. F’din il-ġurnata il-Kunsill Skolastiku ssuġġerixxa li l-istudenti jiġu l-iskola libsin jeans u flokk u jagħtu donazzjoni ta’ Euro. Il-flus inġabru ġo kontenitur waqt li t-tfal ikunu deħlin l-iskola, u wara ddiżinfettaw idejhom bhas-soltu. L-ammont ta €256 li nġabru ser jintużaw għal spejjeż li qed isiru l-iskola.
