During the Healthy Cake Competition organised at our school, a number of parents participated in this new initiative. The school foyer was full of lovely and original cakes. The three judges, Ms Carmen Tedesco, Ms Sonya Young and Ms Grace Vella judged all these cakes. It wasn’t an easy job for the judges because of the various cakes, all made with different ingredients and interesting methods. After the jury was ready, all cakes were cut into pieces and given to all students who booked a piece of cake in advance. The following are the winners of this competition:

Julian Axiaq – Sweet potato cake with avocado frosting
Ana May Bonnici – Butterfly Cake
Luca Vassallo De’Flavia – Healthy Yogurt Cake
Noelan Dalli – Apple, Blueberries and Banana Cake
Each winner was given two books as a prize. A book was sponsored by Zabbar Local Council and another one was sponsored by Ms Carmen Tedesco. We would like to thank them so much for donating these books. We would also like to thank all the parents who took part in this competition and made it a success. Thanks also to the judges who judged diligently and to all those members of staff and school council members who helped willingly to make this event a success.
