Down syndrome (or Trisomy 21) is a naturally occurring chromosomal arrangement that has always been a part of the human condition, being universally present across racial, or gender lines in approximately 1 in 800 live births, although there is considerable variation worldwide. Down syndrome usually causes varying degrees of intellectual and physical disability and associated medical issues.
Downs Syndrome Day is celebrated on Tuesday 21st March. On this day, the students are being asked to wear mismatched socks of their choice. Let’s show off our colourful socks!
Thank You,
The Administration
Għeżież ġenituri/kustodji,
Id-Down Syndrome (jew Trisomija 21) huwa arranġament kromosomali li jseħħ b’mod naturali u li dejjem kien parti mill-kundizzjoni tal-bniedem. Dan huwa preżenti b’mod universali bla distinzjoni ta’ razza jew sess u jinstab f’madwar 1 minn kull 800 twelid ħaj, għalkemm b’xi varjazzjonijiet konsiderevoli madwar id-dinja. Id-Down Syndrome normalment jikkawża gradi differenti ta’ diżabilità intellettwali u fiżika u kundizzjonijiet mediċi assoċjati.
Jum id-Down Syndrome jiġi ċċelebrat nhar it-Tlieta 21 ta’ Marzu. F’din il-ġurnata, l-istudenti qed jiġu mitluba jilbsu kalzetti spariġġjati tal-għażla tagħhom. Ejja nuru l-kalzetti mlewna tagħna!
During the art lessons pupils from year 2 have been learning and reflecting on their attitude towards gratitude. The students wrote down what they are grateful about on paper hearts which they created and designed whilst enjoying and listening to the song “Thankful by The Juicebox Jukebox.
These heart creations allowed them to be thankful and have a positive outlook to life.

Most hollies prefer a site that receives morning sun, or slightly shaded. They need a moist, but well drained soil, enriched with lots of organic matter. They will grow in most soil types. The holly is an evergreen small tree or large shrub with spiny, dark green, lustrous leaves and grey bark. Seedless red berries borne in profusion are attractive in winter. Should be protected from sun in hot, dry areas. Prefers acid soil.
Grow your poinsettia in bright, indirect light, in a draught-free spot with a temperature of around 13-15°C. The most common problem when growing poinsettias is that the leaves wilt and drop off. This is a sign of cold conditions. Remember poinsettias are from Mexico and need to be kept at a minimum temperature of 13ºC, away from draughts (including near doors, fireplaces or single-glazed windows).Water sparingly, typically when the surface of the compost has started to dry out. Mist regularly to increase humidity and keep the colourful bracts looking their best for longer. After Christmas, feed monthly with a high potassium liquid feed.
22nd December is the last school day for 2022. This year, food and drink for the class party will be provided by the students. On the day, children are to attend in casual clothing. School will start again on the 9th January 2023.
Thank you for your cooperation. All the best!
